Helmut Marquardt, born 1956, received his civil engineering degree and doctor's degree from the Technical University of Berlin, 1983 and 1990 respectively. Since 1993, he is Professor in Buxtehude near Hamburg teaching Building Physics, Materials and Construction as well as Timber Structures. 2014 to 2017 he was the director of the civil engineering study path. 2017 to 2020 he was vice president and retired in 2021.
